Which energy providers are supported?
Reveal currently integrates with Octopus Energy for electricity and gas, and Thames Water for water. We're actively adding more providers — included free with your monthly plan.
What if my provider isn't supported yet?
You can manually enter your rates for any provider. We're actively adding more integrations — included free with your monthly plan.
What smart plugs are compatible?
Reveal works with TP-Link Tapo P110M smart plugs, which are included in the kit. These provide live electricity monitoring over your local network — no cloud connection needed. Gas and water data comes from your provider accounts instead.
What does the £5/month cover?
The monthly fee covers advanced monitoring features, live energy provider integrations, over-the-air software updates with new features, and priority support. The hardware is yours to keep regardless.
Where is my data stored?
All data is stored locally in a SQLite database on the tablet. Nothing is sent to the cloud. Your energy provider credentials are stored in the Android hardware keystore and cannot be extracted.
Can I use it on my phone or existing tablet?
Reveal v1 is designed specifically for the included tablet as a dedicated always-on display. A phone companion app is on our roadmap for a future release.
What if I want more than 4 smart plugs?
Order additional plugs from us — we'll pair them to your Tapo account and send them through at cost with no markup. Just plug them in and Reveal will discover them on your network automatically.
How does it handle Agile tariffs?
Reveal automatically fetches half-hourly Agile pricing from your energy provider so your cost calculations always reflect the exact rate you're paying right now.
